Amanda R. Sher
2015 Volunteer Honoree
Amanda Sher is a Champion of Yes.
Ms. Sher has volunteered her time to the Arthritis Foundation’s Silver Ball committee since 2005 and has done so with unbridled passion and commitment. Over the last seven years she has served as the event’s Auction Chair which has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars benefiting the cause to conquer arthritis.
An attorney at Sher Corwin Winters, LLC., Ms. Sher concentrates her practice on civil litigation, with an emphasis on personal injury matters. After graduating from Pitzer College in 2002, she worked at the California Women’s Law Center in Los Angeles. She continued her education at St. Louis University School of Law, graduating in 2008 with an emphasis in litigation skills. While attend SLU Law School, she was active in many student organizations, serving in leadership positions in both the Women Law Students’ Association and the Public Interest Law Group. She also received the Jaime Ramirez Student of the Year Award in 2008.
Terry L. Moore, MD, FACP, FAAP, MACR

Dr. Terry More is Paving the Way to Conquer Arthritis.
Dr. Terry Moore has dedicated his professional life to the cause, treatment and cure for the nation’s #1 cause of disability. He practices patient care, teaching and research at Saint Louis University and is one of only 10 Rheumatology Division Directors across the country to be named as a member of the ACR Director’s Task Force/Director’s Special Committee to guide the ACR in the upcoming years. In addition to countless other awards, he received the award of Master of the American College of Rheumatology (ACR)/Research Education Foundation (REF), the highest honor bestowed on a member of the ACR/REF.
Dr. Moore’s outstanding contributions include ongoing medical advancements made possible through his ROI Research Award with Dr. Anil Chauhan through 2017 from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on “T-cell Activation by Immune Complexes and Complement in Autoimmunity.” He has published over 190 full-length manuscripts and 224 abstracts on multiple topics, mainly on juvenile arthritis, complement studies, regulatory T-cells and systemic lupus. He also holds multiple research awards in juvenile arthritis and systemic lupus from private foundations. He has trained through the Saint Louis University fellowship program, 65 rheumatologists of which 18 are full time in Academic Rheumatology Units. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Terry Moore completed his medical education at St. Louis University School of Medicine and subsequently his Internal Medicine Residency. He then completed a Rheumatology- Immunology Fellowship at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation. Subsequently, he returned to the Saint Louis University School of Medicine as a faculty member and has served as a Director of the Division of Adult Rheumatology and Pediatric Rheumatology since 1983. He has risen to the position of Professor of Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, and Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at the Medical School.

Logan University and Dr. Bob are Helping to Conquer Arthritis!
Dr. Bob is a tenured faculty member at Logan University and is in private practice at Radiology Consultants/Midwest Inc. He has received numerous awards of distinction over the years including several Distinguished Service Awards from Logan University Alumni Association and the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2003.Logan University is dedicated to maximizing human performance through innovative health education. Logan has been supporting our efforts to battle arthritis since 2007 when Dr. Robert Kuhn, aka “Dr. Bob,” joined our Arthritis Walk committee. A steadfast supporter, Dr. Bob became the Event Chair in 2012 and moved the annual event to the Logan University Campus. In 9 years, Logan’s support and Dr. Bob’s drive have resulted in more than $125,000 in fundraising support to help us conquer the nation’s leading cause of disability.

As the Chief Executive Officer of Signature Medical Group, Inc., Jan Vest champions making healthcare affordable and accessible to hundreds of thousands of patients annually. His leadership and commitment to transforming the healthcare industry through patient-centered, physician-led medicine, is bringing greater quality and value to families in our region and nation. These efforts are critical to our ongoing efforts to conquer arthritis.
Mr. Vest has more than 20 years of executive leadership and operations management at medical practices in four states. He works as a medical practice consultant nationally with a special interest and experience in organizational development and business practice management. He was previously the director of clinic operations for Valley Wide Health Services, a community health center in Colorado. He served on the National Committee for Quality Assurance Advisory Committee developing the NCQA Spine Physician Recognition Program, is President–Elect of the American Academy of Orthopedic Executives, serves on the Board of Directors of the Midwest Health Initiative and the Signature Healthcare Foundation, and is a former member of the Health Care Industry Council of The Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis.
