Maria is a native of Evansville, IN. She attended Central High School and is a graduate of The University of Evansville. After working a year, Maria went to nursing school at Ivy Tech Community college and earned her LPN.
In 2008, while employed as the Marketing Director at Home Instead Senior Care Maria became involved with the local Arthritis Foundation chapter by serving on the event committee for the Jingle Bell Run/Walk.
In 2011, Maria was hired as the Marketing Liaison at HealthSouth Deaconess Rehabilitation Hospital and served as the Jingle Bell Run Event Chairperson and currently serves as Vice President on the local Arthritis Foundation Advisory Council.
Her community volunteer work includes several years of participation in the Home Instead Senior Care Christmas program, Be a Santa to a Senior, The Alzheimer’s Association’s Memory Walk and Making Memories event committee and she played in the Blondes vs. Brunette’s football game, Aurora’s Midwest Gingerbread House Competition event committee. Maria sings professionally and at her church and has a passion for music.
Maria lives on the west side of Evansville with her two daughters, Maggie and Kate.
Brian Taylor was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 12 and by the end of college was faced with living in a wheelchair and had to undergo numerous surgeries to live a productive life. He is a board member of the Southern Indiana Branch of the Arthritis Foundation where he speaks on behalf of the foundation at various events and conducts informational sessions. He also serves as the Arthritis Foundation Ambassador for Indiana’s 8th district, is on the Rheumatoid Arthritis Alliance Leadership Group, and the Arthritis Research Sub-committee. He is a Patient Representative for the FDA on Rheumatoid Arthritis and Reflexive Sympathetic Dystrophy. He is the Director of Computer Operations at Product Acceptance & Research (PAR) in Evansville, Indiana for the last 16 years and lives with his wife and four children.
